Jurisdiction
We are assessing Lithuania and Latvia. Both are EU member states in the euro area with experienced supervisors for digital banks: the Bank of Lithuania (Lietuvos bankas) and Latvijas Banka. Once licensed, a bank in either country can offer services across the European Economic Area.
Being assessedLegal entity
The bank will be a company registered in the chosen country, owned by the Future Sun group. We are deciding which group company will be the shareholder. The name and registration details of the entity will be published here.
In progressLicence application
For a credit institution in the euro area, the national central bank reviews the application and the European Central Bank makes the final decision. Review usually takes several months after the application is complete.

After authorisationThe Future Sun group
The Future Sun group includes companies registered in Canada (Ottawa, Ontario) and in the United States (Texas). The bank will operate through its own EU-licensed entity, separate from other group businesses.
